Meet Our Staff


Assistant Manager

Bethany has worked in kennel and veterinary clinic environments for over five years and has earned her Veterinary Assistant certificate at AACC. One of her biggest passions in life is caring for animals. Her favorite way of spending her spare time is being with her husband and family. Her hobbies include drawing/painting and tie dye!

Office/Kennel Tech

Morgan is a graduate and alumna of the University of Maryland, College Park and holds a Bachelor of Science in Animal Sciences, with a specialization in care and management. She has knowledge of and has worked with various types of animals over the years. In her free time she enjoys drawing, playing video games, and spending time outdoors.

Jessica is pursuing a Marine Biology degree and hopes to study shark behavior. In her free time, she loves taking wildlife photography and playing with her three pet rats.

Sara is the resident cat lady here in Oxford. She hand makes crochet cat nip toys in her free time. She also enjoy hiking, playing video games, and cuddling with her 3 cats.

Makayla has attended college for a semester with plans of studying radiologic science but has changed her focus with plans of going into pharmaceuticals. She is very compassionate for animals. She enjoys spending her free time with her puppy and older dog, and also enjoys being outdoors.

Emily is currently pursuing a degree in Psychology with the intention of utilizing therapy animals in mental health settings. She has dreamed of working with animals since she was little girl! Outside of school she has a passion for skiing, painting and running with her dog.


Claire has been working with animals for the past 4 years. She attended college at Tidewater Community College in Virginia Beach and completed the Veterinary Assistant program. Now into grooming, she loves that she can help dogs look, smell, and feel better. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, spending time with family, and riding her horse, Peach.

Regional Assistant

Shyann took 3 semesters at Franklin County career tech and graduated with her AVA certification. She is passionate about animal behavior. She travels to all locations on a regular basis. In her free time she likes to spend time outdoors and hanging out with her friends and family.

Regional Assistant

Lexi loves traveling between all locations to meet new people and learn about their pets. She also enjoys encouraging our teams and improving our facilities so you are satisfied with every visit. In her free time she enjoys personal development and loves experiencing life outdoors.

Regional Admin Assistant

Anna has her Masters in Theology. She enjoys reading, editing papers, studying Hebrew, and spending time with her family. Anna oversees all the behind the scenes for all locations.

Regional Director

Denise oversees all the locations for Golden Wood. She travels to each location on a regular basis. Aside from work, she enjoys spending time outdoors with her family of ten, vizsla pup, and their farmette of animals. Denise has a desire to see each of the Golden Wood facilities grow by implementing new ideas on a continued basis.
